If it should be I grow frail and weak,
And pain should keep me from my sleep,
Then you should do what must be done,
For this last battle can't be won.
You will be sad - I understand,
Don't let your grief then stay your hand,
For this day, more than all the rest,
Your love and friendship stand the test.
Take me where my needs they'll tend,

Stay with me until the end,
hold me firm and speak to me,
Until my eyes no longer see.

I know in time you will see,
It is a kindness you do for me,
Although my tail it's last has waved,
From pain and suffering I've been saved.
Do not grieve that it should be you,
Who has decided this thing to do.

The loss of Kai was still fresh in our hearts when we also lost our Dog, Sultan (Kopegi).  Sultan was a pup we adopted off the streets of Istanbul.  He was an incredible animal, an Anatolian Sherperd Dog, that was loved by everyone that ever met him......A kind, loving, devoted Guardian that will never be replaced......

Kaimana Ele'ele  (Black Diamond) was born on 17 May 2014 and developed an immune response to a common virus at age 7 months, he lasted only 1 month and, I made the difficult choice not to allow him to suffer.  He was set free on his 8 month birthdate.  I cry as I type this...he was possibly the sweetest mau I have ever met.  He was a champion in the making and he didn't deserve what happened to him.  He will be eternally missed and never replaced.

Rainbows in Hawaii are an all too common occurrence and this past year we have had two beloved members of our Family cross the rainbow bridge, both far too soon in their lives.....
